Oceania Cruises is boosting its appeal for single travellers, revealing plans to introduce solo staterooms across four of its existing ships later this year. Part of the latest OceaniaNEXT initiative, 14 Solo Oceanview Staterooms will debut aboard Regatta from 25 September, Nautica from 26 September, and both Insignia and Sirena from 1 October. With the addition of these 56 staterooms, plus those that debuted to a sell-out success on Vista earlier this year, Oceania Cruises is reinforcing its commitment to solo travellers.

Howard Sherman, President & CEO of Oceania Cruises, said the addition of suites dedicated to single travellers across the fleet follows feedback from guests and travel partners, ” we acted on it”.And that Oceania has done, more than doubling the number of staterooms-for-one, per ship, than what will be available on Vista, which is limited to six. The new stateroom option will be located on Deck 6, are “amply spacious” and feature a Tranquility Bed, mini-bar, “cozy seating area” and storage. The cruise line described its Solo Oceanview Staterooms as “bathed in soothing tones with multiple layers of luxurious furnishings, accents and artwork, the staterooms are the perfect retreat for the solo traveller.” However, unlike Vista, the name of these retrofitted staterooms indicates they will not feature verandas, and based on the deck plan of Oceania’s Regatta-class ships, will likely have views obstructed by lifeboats.
“These new single-occupancy staterooms are ideal for guests seeking the joy of traveling solo while experiencing all the comfort, cuisine, and destination expertise that Oceania Cruises is renowned for,” added Sherman. Pricing and availability for the new Solo Oceanview Staterooms will be available from 11 April. It is unclear at this stage if the larger ships in Oceania Cruises’ fleet, the 1,250-passenger sister-vessels, Marina and Riviera, will also be fitted with staterooms for singles.
