Rocky Mountaineer has named Tony Soden as its new Regional Sales Manager, APAC as the rail company bolsters its workforce in Australasia. Soden is well known in the travel and tourism industry, with his extensive career including roles with Club Med as Head of Sales and Customer Relations, ANZ; National Key Account Manager at Royal Caribbean Cruises and State Managers/Sales development at Scenic and Evergreen. He joins Rocky Mountaineer after 18 months out of the travel industry, most recently as Australian Sales Manager for Texthelp, a provider of assistive software to education and corporate markets worldwide.

Joining Soden at the North American rail operator is Neryl Chambers, taking the role of Sales Coordinator, APAC. Chambers also brings experience from Club Med where she held the role of Business Development Executive. Before working with Club Med, Chambers was an International Travel Specialist at Helloworld Drysdale for 4 years.“We welcome Tony and Neryl to the Rocky Mountaineer team at a time when travel demand is increasing,” said Amber Wilson, Regional Director of Sales – Asia Pacific. “Guests are eager to experience Rocky Mountaineer’s newest route, Rockies to the Red Rocks – a two-day rail journey between Denver, Colorado, and Moab, Utah. Our Asia-Pacific team is ready to give guests the experience of a lifetime, whether it’s on our new route or on our signature Canadian routes that connect Vancouver with Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper.” Soden commences in his role on 1 August 2022.
