“Being able to publicly acknowledge 10 years in small business was a huge milestone, not just professionally, and personally as well,” Meaghan Wolf, Business Leader, Wolf & Turner Travel Associates, told LATTE.
“As a business, we have been through every type of challenge, ranging from a premises fire, multiple maternity leaves and personal family tragedies, so after 10 years, to be able to be standing strong and proud after the pandemic was something that deserved to be shouted from the rooftops,” Wolf said.
“Having a room full of like-minded people celebrating some of the things they value the most, in one room, created an unbelievable sense of connection and belonging. Clients had heard about each other over the years and varied travel ideas but for them to actually meet in person was a huge thrill for us. It was like a proud parent moment.” Wolf said she wanted the agency’s clients to understand why the staff had persisted stubbornly through one of the biggest challenges the industry had faced. “I wanted clients to hear collectively how important their kindness and loyalty was.”
For Wolf, the milestone represents the final time to close the book on the past 10 years, celebrate the tenacity of her staff, and look positively towards the next 10 years to come. “It was beautiful to feel the love in the room which was amplified beyond expectation,” she told LATTE. Wolf & Turner Travel Associates partnered with a number of key suppliers that helped host the evening, including Virgin Voyages, Journey Beyond, Ponant and Viking. With many clients already very well travelled, those partners were handpicked to expose them to some new ideas and to get a taste of new opportunities.
“The reps were part of our inner circle already and knew exactly the purpose of their presentations. They were great performers, outstanding networkers and hugely inspiring to many. “Being able to introduce products that could also encapsulate an entire family experience was also one of the key messages. As our clients get older we need to tap into a slightly younger clientele and what’s better than a referral from an existing client!” Wolf concluded.
