Signature Media’s masthead magazine title, Signature Luxury Travel & Style (SLTS), has revealed the finalists and winners of its annual ‘Best of’ Cruise Awards, making their return in 2022 after the COVID-induced global cruise pause.
Now in its fourth iteration, the World’s Best Luxury Cruise Ships awards recognise the leading ocean, river, expedition, family and tall-ship cruise lines operating around the globe. This year’s awards saw dozens of cruise lines evaluated and polled on a range of criteria by a panel of luxury cruise experts. Their feedback was tallied to determine the Top 3 across nine different categories, plus SLTS sought their votes on the best Luxury Operator and the Most Anticipated New Ships.
A point of distinction for SLTS’s World’s Best Luxury Cruise Ships awards is the stringent voting process. Signature Luxury Travel & Style‘s panelists were asked to assess, for example, the cruise operator with the Best Suites, Best Service, Best Dining, Best Wellness, Best Itineraries, Best Shore Tours and Best Expedition Team (where applicable).

“Each of these advisors is at the pinnacle of selling luxury cruises and is highly regarded in the cruise industry.
“We have chosen to do our annual awards this way rather than to do a readers’ choice award as many of our readers may not have knowledge of all the ships in the luxury category and the voting may have been skewed by their own experience on just who they have cruised with.
“Being able to tap into this knowledge bank has been exceptionally valuable and we are very appreciative of the amount of time each of these panellists put into this,” Wagstaff said.
