VIKING OSIRIS SHIP OF THE MONTH WEEK 1 OF 4
Purpose-built to navigate the Nile and sail Viking’s bestselling Pharaohs & Pyramids itinerary, the new, state-of-the-art Viking Osiris is inspired by Viking’s award-winning river and ocean ships with the elegant Scandinavian design for which Viking is known. Viking Osiris joins Viking Ra, which launched in 2018. Additionally, in response to strong demand, Viking Aton, an identical sister ship to Viking Osiris, will join the fleet in 2023. Viking has also announced that two more sister ships, Viking Hathor and Viking Sobek, are already under construction and will be delivered in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Hosting 82 guests in 41 staterooms, the vessel features several aspects familiar to Viking guests, such as a distinctive square bow and an indoor/outdoor Aquavit Terrace. With French balconies, hotel-style beds in every spacious stateroom, and public areas bathed in light. Viking Osiris is the newest and most sophisticated river ship sailing in the region, while Viking Ra and MS Antares offer a more classic cruising experience. Egypt has always drawn curious explorers for its rich history and ancient antiquities, and ever since Viking first began operating on the Nile River in 2004, their guests continue to be amazed by the country’s many cultural treasures. Today they are pleased to welcome Viking Osiris to their growing fleet on the Nile River, which allows them to welcome even more curious explorers to this incredible destination. Because Viking own and operate their ships, no detail escapes their attention – that’s the Viking difference. They became the number one river cruise line in the world by always putting the needs of their valued guests first, and will stop at nothing to maintain their high standards.
