The President of
Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, Guy Young, recently made his inaugural visit to Sydney to share his plans for Uniworld in 2016/17.
LATTE was among the handpicked media guests invited to lunch in the private dining room at Cafe Sydney, with drinks on the famed terrace, on Tuesday 2 February. With Circular Quay and the stunning harbour views as a backdrop, Guy and John Molinaro, GM Uniworld Australia, discussed Uniworld’s new itineraries and its latest unveiling,
SS Joie de Vivre.
Mr Young emphasised Uniworld’s quest to be the best on the rivers, highlighting a focus on quality and truly one-of-a-kind ships, outfitted with care and extraordinary detail by the team also responsible for the interiors of Red Carnation Hotels, one of Uniworld’s sister companies.
SS Joie de Vivre
The new ship
will embark on its inaugural sailing on 28 March 2017, making its debut with
Paris & Impressions of the Seine, a 10-day journey from Paris to Paris, featuring Auvers-sur-Oise, Etretat and Le Havre or Normandy beaches and Giverny. At 125 metres, the longest length permissible on the Seine,
SS Joie de Vivre offers an intimate experience for 128 guests with 64 staterooms comprising 10 suites (including two Royal Suites – the first ship to have two of these deluxe accommodations), five of which will offer family- or group-friendly triple accommodation. Onboard features also include an infinity-view swimming pool (which can double as a unique dining experience when covered), a spa, fitness centre and a dedicated wine tasting room.
As with all Uniworld Boutique River Cruise ships,
SS Joie de Vivre will highlight culinary excellence with a farm-to-table philosophy; personalised experiences through small-group excursions and the ‘Choice is Yours’ programme in Europe for individualisation; Uniworld Cares in partnership with the TreadRight Foundation; one-of-a-kind ships featuring exquisite furnishings and original artworks; and one of the highest staff-to-guest rations in the river cruise sector.
