Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Edge set sail on Saturday from Sydney, Australia for the first time, taking guests on a 12-night itinerary exploring the coastlines, majestic fjords and cosmopolitan cities of New Zealand. Highlights of the itinerary include an overnight stay in Auckland, wine tasting in the vineyards near Napier, the pastoral beauty of Dunedin and the breath-taking Dusky, Doubtful, and Milford Sounds in New Zealand’s South Island. This voyage is the first of 12 itineraries this summer season Down Under, from now through April 2024, designed to immerse guests in the spoils of Australia and New Zealand, along with the tropical South Pacific. Guests can choose from a range of six- to 13-night itineraries visiting an impressive collection of 22 ports, with departures from both Sydney and Auckland.

Celebrity Edge is widely regarded as one of the most innovative cruise ships on earth, shattering perceptions of cruising with a number of firsts on board for a cruise ship,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises. “Her arrival in this region is a moment of celebration not just for Celebrity Cruises, but for guests as well. “There’s no better way to experience what this region has to offer, and we’re so excited to bring such a special holiday experience Down Under,” Hodges added. Tim Jones, Celebrity Cruises Vice President and Managing Director of Australia and APAC, added, “After much anticipation, the moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived! “More than a cruise ship, Celebrity Edge offers a remarkable experience that stands apart from anything else at sea. With its contemporary interior and outward-facing design, travellers will have unparalleled views of the sea and the destinations they’re visiting, as they immerse themselves in this beautiful part of the world.” For more information on Celebrity Edge sailings, see celebritycruises.com/au.
