The new Rhine & Main Explorer has 45 scheduled departure dates, beginning 13 April 2025 and running through 19 November 2025. Departing Basel, Switzerland, the journey traverses three countries, countless culturally rich cities and historic towns before arriving at its final port of Nuremberg, Germany.
“Europe is a popular destination known for its rich history, art, and culture which appeals greatly to curious travellers,” said Michelle Black, ANZ Managing Director, Viking.
“Our 2026 season will open for booking earlier, allowing us to offer more itineraries, both new and old favourites, as well as sailing dates. This will allow agents to book more clients, both returning and new to Viking, onboard our state-of-the-art vessels. There is no better way to explore the heart of Europe than by sailing its historic waterways on an elegant Viking Longship,” Black said.
