Travel Associates has celebrated it’s very best of the best, recognising the top performing advisors at a fabulous and glamorous event in Brisbane, titled DISCO DELUXE.
The FY 2024 winner is Ian Carswell, who has just been announced as the boutique luxury brand’s No. 1 advisor – an accolade that is always hotly-contested, and stays top secret until the award itself is announced and presented.
An incredibly humble and popular winner, Carswell is Business Leader of Carswell & Turner Travel Associates in Coffs Harbour. In line with the luxury brand’s greatest honour and confidence in the leadership, Carswell formally invested in the business in 2022 and in doing so, become one of the businesses proudly displaying the owner’s Name on the Door in conjunction with one of three founding directors of the brand.
Rachel Kingswell, Travel Associates AU & NZ General Manager presented the award, acknowledging Carswell’s genuine passion for the brand, his business and his team.
“In a brand that is filled with incredible leaders and advisors, it is such an honour to be named the No. 1 Advisor for Travel Associates,” Kingswell said.
“It takes a lot of dedication and hard work to achieve any award in our business, such is the high calibre of this incredible network, yet Ian has achieved this with a smile. He’s always willing to support anyone who asks for help or guidance, he’s ever grateful to be invited to famils and events, and he’s a genuinely exceptional leader.”
Following the Travel Associates Disco Deluxe Gala, Carswell boarded a flight to Lisbon for the company’s famed Global Gathering where he was one of very few people to be invited for a private meeting with super-star performer, Rita Ora, as part of the “Air NZ Luxe in Lisbon” Sales Incentive.
Kingswell acknowledged that no-one was more deserving than Carswell to be one of the few to meet Rita Ora in person, among the 2,000 people who attended Global Gathering.
“It was an exceptional event and is always such an incredible experience,” Kingswell said.
“On the Friday night we celebrated with our Flightfest White party, and Saturday night was the Gala event. I was incredibly proud to attend with 50 top Travel Associates advisors across Australia and New Zealand, with so many luxury partners in support.”At Global Gathering, Travel Associate was recognised for three Major Awards:

Also at the Travel Associates Awards Event, Danielle Galloway, Global Managing Director presented the second annual ‘Greg Ashmore Award for Excellence’, to Edward Yee, business Leader of Yee & Turner Travel Associates in Brisbane.
The award recognises a person who has shown exceptional talent and leadership above and beyond their business, sharing knowledge, expertise and support across the brand network – a passion that was a hallmark of the brand’s founder, Greg Ashmore.
