With the impact of the recent Microsoft outage affecting many in the travel sphere, the Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has extended the submission deadline for the National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) to 11.59 pm AEST Tuesday, 23 July. This decision ensures that all industry participants have ample time to finalise and submit their entries.

Voting is open to anyone employed within the Australian travel industry, ensuring a broad spectrum of perspectives and expertise contributes to the recognition process. However, it is important to note that voters cannot vote for their own company, underscoring the impartiality and fairness of the awards. Participants are encouraged to utilise this extended deadline to submit their entries via the official NTIA website ATIA.travel/NTIA2024. Nominees are encouraged to buy their tickets early to secure their seat at NTIA at ICC Sydney on Saturday 26 October: bit.ly/NTIAtickets. “We understand the challenges caused by the recent Microsoft outage and its impact on our online submission platform, and many of the nominees put looking after their clients first,” said Dean Long, CEO ATIA. “Our priority is to provide a fair opportunity for all nominees to participate in this prestigious Awards.”
