Captain’s Choice has unveiled a brand-new private jet journey through Scandinavia to mark the brand’s milestone 30-year anniversary.
A pioneer in the worlds of private jet and luxury travel, Captain’s Choice seeks out enriching encounters around the globe, expertly curating journeys that are truly extraordinary and often unrepeatable. Whether by private jet, heritage rail, luxury cruise ship or on a series of exhilarating hikes, these voyages offer rare perspectives of their respective regions as demonstrated by its latest itinerary through Scandinavia.
The 12-day ‘Remote Reaches of Scandinavia by Private Jet’ itinerary has been exclusively designed for up to 50 travellers. The journey begins with an intimate welcome dinner in London before boarding the business class private jet for a mid-morning flight to Tórshavn, capital of the Faroe Islands.
Making the most of their time on the Faroe Islands, guests can choose to embark on an exploration of Streymoy with a visit to the tiny village of Tjørnuvik or discover the southern edge of the island by travelling between the two islands via the ‘jellyfish’ tunnel, a one-of-a-kind undersea roundabout illuminated by a series of red and green lights.
The adventure continues to Iceland where guests will marvel at the striking contrasts of ice and rugged landscapes. Here, guests will have the opportunity to explore Iceland’s renowned Golden Circle Route, including Thingvellir National Park, the Gullfoss waterfalls, and the Geysir geothermal area.
As the journey enters its final stretch, guests will have the chance to explore Greenland, where three nights in the capital, Nuuk awaits. Itinerary highlights include watching for breaching whales during a cruise of the region’s fjords, embarking on a deep-sea fishing adventure, or admiring the wonderful craft pieces created at a local workshop.
The Lofoten Islands serve as the conclusion of the journey. Guests can cruise through the legendary Trollfjord, where graceful sea eagles take flight, experience a Viking feast within a reconstructed longhouse at Lofotr Viking Museum and embark on an exploration of the charming fishing village of Henningsvær.
The twelve-day journey departs from London on 5 August 2025 and starts from AU$49,500 per person twin share.
Celebrating 30 years of Captain’s Choice
In 2024, Captain’s Choice celebrates 30 years of creating unrivalled travel experiences. Uniting these journeys is an unwavering passion to give Captain’s Choice guests access to the rare and the remote, a desire that remains as strong after three decades as it was the day that the company was founded by Phil Asker on 4 September 1994.In the decades that followed, Captain’s Choice would become renowned for its private jet program. ‘An Indian Odyssey by Private Jet’, together with ‘Around the World by Private Jet’ and ‘Ultimate South America by Private Jet’ would help gain the business its well-earned reputation for delivering extraordinary, often-unrepeatable itineraries. These private jet journeys would link far-flung destinations along flight paths rarely, if ever, offered by commercial airlines. In addition, these journeys were peppered with exclusive experiences the everyday traveller could not hope to arrange independently.
Bas Bosschieter, CEO of Captain’s Choice, said: “The incomparable journeys designed by Captain’s Choice, much like those forged by our founder Phil Asker, are born of curiosity and a yearning to understand our world and the people who inhabit it.”
“We are thrilled to celebrate thirty years since that exciting first Captain’s Choice adventure, and are incredibly grateful to the guests and friends who’ve been on the journey with us.”
