Singapore’s historic Hotel Fort Canning will reemerge from a major transformation next year as METT Singapore, following a change in management that will see Dubai-based Sunset Hotels & Resorts take the reins. The rebranded property will open as METT Singapore by Q3 2025, following a complete renovation which will see SHG’s signature venues, including beach clubs, restaurants, and nightlife options, added to the mix. Jaime Buxo Clos, CEO of Sunset Hotels and Resorts described the property as a “cultural icon”. “By transforming it into METT Singapore, we are creating a property that honours its heritage while infusing it with the modern, lifestyle touch that the METT brand is known for,” he said. The new addition will join the company’s existing portfolio of three METT properties located in Marbella, Barcelona and Bodrum.
