Lufthansa’s hotly anticipated Allegris First Class offering will debut aboard its A350-900 aircraft on its Bangalore service on 9 November, followed by Mumbai on 15 November. Both routes are operated from Lufthansa’s hub of Munich.
The aircraft, decked out with two individual first class suites and the suite plus, will then alternate between the two routes.
“After a technical introduction phase, Lufthansa will initially present the new, innovative product to its most loyal guests by invitation,” the airline said.
“As soon as more aircraft with the new First Class are part of the fleet, targeted upgrades by passengers and later targeted bookings will be possible step by step.”
Details of the new product were first revealed in March 2023. Among some of the new features are seats than can be heated or cooled as desired, separate suites with ceiling height walls and a lockable door, a personal wardrobe, and large table and wide seat. Meanwhile, the Suite Plus product allows passengers to travel with a companion. The airline is also testing mixed reality technologies for its guests with guests in the Business Class Suite on Allegris-equipped flights given the opportunity to use its new generation VR headsets and give feedback.
