Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) has unveiled plans to open The Langham, Kuala Lumpur in 2027. The brand new hotel will form part of the Oxley Towers KLCC complex in KL’s prestigious Golden Triangle in the CBD. The luxury hotel will occupy the upper half of new structure being developed that offers cityscape views and provides easy access to Petronas Twin Towers, shopping malls and the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The project is the second Southeast Asia hotel to be announced by LHG this year, coming hot on the heels of recently publicised plans for The Langham, Customs House, Bangkok. The two properties will join the group’s multi-award-winning branch of The Langham in Jakarta, taking to three its footprint in a region fast shaping up to be a key source of growth.
“We look forward to bringing our flagship brand to Kuala Lumpur, a gateway city in a thriving part of the world that is also home to a notably robust travel market,” Bob van den Oord, LHG Chief Executive Officer said. “The Langham, Kuala Lumpur will be a telling symbol of our vision to craft iconic, world-class hotels in Southeast Asia and beyond.”
The Langham, Kuala Lumpur will house 198 guestrooms and suites supported by a rich array of luxurious amenities. These will include a sky pool – One of the highest in the city – an outpost of The Langham, Hong Kong’s three Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant, T’ang Court; a unique destination bar; and a new branch of The Langham, London’s iconic Palm Court eatery.
The property will also feature health and wellness offerings via LHG’s Chuan Spa platform, which additionally encompasses a fitness centre and a wide selection of in-room offerings.
