The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has named cruise industry veteran Spyros Almpertis as Vice President, Port and Destination Operations. With Evrima and Ilma already sailing as the company’s first luxury superyachts, and Luminara slated to debut in 2025, Almpertis’ appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to operational excellence and delivering immersive experiences for guests.

Almpertis brings three decades of experience to The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, having held key roles at Crystal, Silversea and Norwegian Cruise Line, among others. Notable achievements include his role on the Gratuities Implementation Team at Holland America Line, the MarineXchange Project Team at Silversea, and managing the safe docking of Silversea’s fleet during the pandemic. Almpertis has built a vast global network of partners, covering more than 1,200 ports worldwide.
