Rosewood Hotels & Resorts‘ first property in Japan has begun accepting reservations for stays from 1 March 2025. On a remote island paradise in Okinawa, Rosewood Miyakojima will offer exceptional luxury amidst untouched nature. The resort has begun accepting reservations, inviting travellers to explore an unseen side of Japan while pioneering a new era of ultra-luxury hospitality on Miyakojima. Nestled amidst sugarcane fields in the north of the island and overlooking Oura Bay with direct access to a pristine beach, the resort has 55 guest accommodations, each with breathtaking views of Miyakojima’s famous pristine waters. Embodied by Rosewood’s A Sense of Place® philosophy, the architecture of the resort draws from the history, landscape and culture of the Ryukyu Islands, blending indigenous Okinawan materials such as Ryukyu limestone with the Japanese spirit of wabi-sabi.
