After 10 years as President of Quark Expeditions, Andrew White is stepping down, with his retirement marking the end of an era for the expedition cruise line.
White joined Quark as VP Sales in 2012, before stepping up as President in 2014. Among the many achievements made during his presidency are the unveiling of Quark’s sustainability policy the Polar Promise, the building of polar expedition ship Ultramarine and the company’s return to Snow Hill in November 2023.
“The polar regions are places of unparalleled inspiration. Every journey over the last decade has deepened my appreciation for these regions and the incredible wildlife and people that call them home,” White said.
“I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together, building on our legacy of meaningful exploration, and connecting so many to the transformative experience of the polar regions.”
Sam Seward, formerly head of Travelopia Group’s Adventure Brands, took up the role of President on 5 December, bringing with him a bold vision for the future of Quark Expeditions.
