River cruise vessel Charaidew II will join National Geographic-Lindblad’s fleet of chartered ships, with two departures in India scheduled for 2026.
The 17-cabin vessel is specifically designed for navigating the Brahmaputra River, with a shallow draught and low profile that allow it to access more remote regions of the river than other ships.
Both of the new itineraries will depart in March 2026. The first, an 18-day journey titled India by Land and River: Taj Mahal, Safaris and the Brahmaputra, combines the iconic landmarks of northern India with the less-explored Assam region and its wildlife reserves.
