Major growth is on the card for Minor Hotels, with nearly 300 new hotels planned to open over the next three years taking it to more than 850 properties by the end of 2027. The hotel group, which includes hotel brands Anantara, Tivoli and Elewana in the luxury segment, currently operates more than 560 properties and 81,000 keys worldwide, with a robust pipeline of over 285 new hotels and almost 47,000 keys. Global diversification is a key focus of the expansion. While more than 50% of Minor’s existing portfolio is in Europe, new properties are slated for key markets in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. “We remain committed to strategic growth across a diverse range of regions always striving to provide innovative hospitality experiences that deliver value for our owners and partners,” Minor Hotels CEO Dillip Rajakarier said. “As well as leveraging our experiential luxury expertise, our evolving brand architecture, asset-right strategy and focus on branded residence opportunities are the mainstays of our ambitious plans, and we look forward to bringing them to live in the coming years.”

Minor Hotels expansion
Luxury remains a top priority, with one-third of the three-year pipeline in the luxury segment. The group is also investing in property renovations, including upgrades to the original Anantara Hua Hin in Thailand. Additionally, Minor Hotels is focusing on branded residences, with ongoing projects in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Preserving the integrity of Minor’s luxury brands is paramount as the portfolio expands, according to Chief Development and Luxury Officer Omar Romero. “We’re committed to elevating our luxury portfolio while ensuring each brand’s unique identity delivers authentic, experience-led stays,” he said. “Our pipeline showcases confidence in both established and emerging markets, grounded in the understanding that robust brand resonance and uncompromising quality are central to our success—and to our promise of exceptional value for guests and owners alike.” Among the new openings for 2025 are Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia in Portugal and luxury tented camp Anantara Kafue River in Zambia.
