The 168-guest vessel, built for polar exploration, is on charter from Atlas Ocean Voyages. It features a presentation theatre and Science Hub where guests can engage in interactive scientific activities. Its Science & Discovery Program offers guests an opportunity to participate in citizen science with activities ranging from seabird surveys to water sampling.

Quark’s 2026-27 program is further bolstered by its exclusive partnership with the Friedlaender Lab at the University of California, San Diego. This collaboration offers an extraordinary chance to assist marine mammal experts studying whale behaviour through the 11-day Antarctic Marine Mammals: The World of Whales and Seals expedition, which offers guests a rare opportunity to observe world leading marine mammal experts at work.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_images_carousel images=”170032,170033,170034,170035,170036″ img_size=”full” autoplay=”yes” wrap=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1739322712373{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1610931995138{margin-bottom: 10px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1610931970624{margin-bottom: 10px !important;}”]Subscribe to LATTE Cruise’s free eNewsletter to keep up to date with everything in the luxury cruise space.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1739322904026{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”]“To truly conserve and protect the Antarctic ecosystem, we must deepen our understanding of whales’ needs, habits, and movement patterns around the Antarctic Peninsula,” the lab’s Founder Dr. Ari Friedlaender said.

“This kind of knowledge can only be gained through dedicated research, backed by the necessary support to carry out this vital science. Our partnership with Quark Expeditions presents an incredible opportunity to spend time with these magnificent creatures, studying and observing them in their natural habitat. This is essential in gathering the critical information needed to advance conservation efforts—not just for these baleen whales, but for the entire Antarctic marine ecosystem.”

As part of the New Adventures: Whales, Camping and Science program, Quark is also introducing new off-ship adventures, including enhanced camping experiences and an Antarctica by Helicopter expedition that will take guests across the Antarctic Circle for breathtaking aerial views.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1579214156361{margin-bottom: 10px !important;}”]
