When Virgin Voyages’ newest ship, Brilliant Lady, makes its grand debut in New York Harbour this September, it will feature a fresh line-up of exciting entertainment, including comedy, live music, and immersive storytelling.
All of the new offerings have been designed to elevate the adventurous spirit of Virgin Voyages, according to Virgin Voyages CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu.
“Brilliant Lady has so much in store for our Sailors and travel agents. The new incredible additions to our entertainment is just the first reveal in a series of imaginative experiences we’re unveiling for our fourth and final ship,” he said.
“Our brand has come so far since our launch in 2021, and we’re grateful to our travel agent community for being such an important part of our journey. Thanks to their valuable feedback, we’re constantly challenging ourselves to raise the bar by offering more entertainment and never-before-seen experiences.”
The program will feature seven original productions and a variety of new “Happenings” designed to cater to both long and short itineraries. The new ship will provide a blend of exciting shows and unique experiences, with the debut of some high-energy performances.
“Brilliant Lady will also set the stage for day-to-night entertainment with the return of fleet favourites, all designed to complement the ship’s longer itineraries and diverse destinations,” Saverimuttu added.
Notable entertainment highlights include the Red Room Shows, such as Red Hot, a musical revue celebrating Virgin’s 50-year legacy with five decades of iconic Virgin Records hits. The show, produced by Kaleidoscope Immersive, will feature archival clips and encapsulate the rebellious spirit of Sir Richard Branson. Another standout, Out of Time, is a time-traveling comedy collaboration between Virgin Voyages and No Ceilings, blending history, music, and dazzling performances. The Scarlet Night Red Room Glow Up will be an indoor glow-up version of the brand’s celebrated outdoor event.
In addition to the Red Room Shows, The Manor Shows will feature unique offerings like Up With a Twist, a new installment in the Supper Club series inspired by the Roaring 20s. Guests will be immersed in a decadent affair at Lady Valentina’s Emporium of Excess, where they will enjoy elevated dining and a high-concept storyline with a live band. Another immersive performance, Murder in the Manor, will blend mystery and suspense with dance, as Sailors help solve a fictional rockstar twin sister’s murder.
For those seeking a party atmosphere, Electric will bring the ship’s immersive UV wonderland to life, while Disco Reimagined will reinvigorate the disco party experience with a modern twist, incorporating dance breaks, circus moments, and acrobatic feats. Meanwhile, Duel Reality is an acrobatic flagship show that made history as the first cruise ship production to go from sea to land.
