The first wave of PONANT EXPLORATIONS‘ new event series, Discovery Sessions, featuring Paul Gauguin Cruises, has taken place across Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney.
With Brisbane and Newcastle scheduled to follow on March 20th and 26th, respectively, the series will culminate in a total of seven events. So far, the Discovery Sessions have attracted approximately 800 attendees, including 670 direct guests and 60 trade partners.

The sessions provided an immersive experience, with the Paul Gauguin Polynesian performance standing out as a highlight. Attendees were entertained by the traditional dance and music, adding a festive touch to the event. A Paul Gauguin-branded ice cream cart proved popular in Sydney and Melbourne, and is also expected to make an appearance in Brisbane.
A key moment during the sessions was the announcement of the Paul Gauguin Flight Credit offer, alongside an exciting new pre- and post-cruise program in Japan. Guests also showed strong interest in some of the most sought-after destinations, including French Polynesia, Japan, the Arctic, Antarctica, and the Kimberley. Exclusive event-only offers further added to the appeal.
Looking ahead, the second wave of Discovery Sessions is already in development, with events scheduled in New Zealand starting June 2025. Meanwhile, agents are encouraged to register themselves and their clients for the upcoming Brisbane and Newcastle session via this link.
