Avalon Waterways is taking its Suite Ships to the next level with a comprehensive fleet-wide refresh of both interior and outdoor spaces designed to improve comfort, style, and connectivity. Over the next two years, Avalon Waterways will implement a series of improvements to its fleet, set to further elevate its ‘Better By Design’ experience. While ships like the Avalon Alegria, Avalon View, and Avalon Envision have already undergone these upgrades, the refresh will extend to other vessels in the fleet by 2026. “At Avalon, we believe the perfectly designed river cruise starts with a perfectly designed ship, inviting guests to explore the world in comfort and style,” Avalon Waterways President Pam Hoffee said.

“With our fleet-wide refresh, we’re elevating details – from drapes on the widest-opening windows in river cruising and décor of our Panorama Lounges to fit-for-purpose fitness centers and fleet of new bikes – ensuring that our Suite Ships continue to set the standard for effortless, along the world’s waterways.” The redesign promises a variety of upgrades, including fresh décor in every public space, from flooring to furniture, a second Starlink antenna ensuring connectivity is seamless during the journey. The Sky Deck is also receiving a chic makeover, with new furniture to match the “million-dollar views” guests can enjoy. The updates also encompass onboard experiences, such as an upgraded Observation Lounge offering guests “a front-row seat to the world” and enhanced fitness rooms with cutting-edge Kinesis weight machines for “resistance training.” In addition, each ship will feature 15 new bikes and four new e-bikes for those wishing to explore on land.
