Regent Seven Seas Cruises is gearing up for a bumper few months as the highly anticipated launch of its 2028 World Cruise approaches, with bookings for its newest vessel, Seven Seas Prestige, opening soon after, followed by the release of its 2027/28 program. Speaking to LATTE on a recent visit to Sydney, Senior Vice President International & Consumer Sales Regent Seven Seas Cruises & Oceania Cruises Steve Odell shared that he had come from meeting with Regent’s World Cruise passengers on the Auckland leg of their voyage. “The World Cruise customers are really invested in what we do, and so we always do it because we get the feedback. This is the halfway point,” he explained. “So we get the feedback and then we can change things up for the back half of the cruise based on their comments.” It’s also a great way to stoke interest in the 2028 World Cruise program which goes on sale on 23 April. “Those people are the core market because most of them are repeat customers,” he said. The finishing touches have also been made to Regent’s 2027/2028 program, Odell revealed. “We’ve been working on 2027/2028 itineraries up until a few weeks ago,” he said. “It’s finalised now, and so in July we’ll go on sale with that program.”

While he referred to it as “quite a long window”, he said this is a strategic move. “One of the core things that we focus on is getting bookings further out,” he said. “The Aussies book and plan far ahead. This market is the furthest ahead in bookings so it’s really important for us down here that we get the launch right.” In between those two launches, the cruise line will open sale for its newest ship Seven Seas Prestige which will set sail in 2026. “Prestige will come in at the end of next year, and it will launch in December in Italy,” he said. “We’ll open up the first 12 or 13 sailings in June.” Odell said a special event will be held on 12 June in a number of locations to mark the booking milestone. “We’re doing it simultaneously. New York, London and Sydney,” The new ship will be more spacious, he promised, with 40% more space than the Explorer Class, but with just 13% more capacity. While he was tight-lipped about what lies in store aboard the new ship, he did share that a new restaurant is on the cards, as well as some new suite types with the new Regent Suite to be the highlight.
