Aman has confirmed the name of its first luxury motor yacht as Amangati, meaning ”peaceful motion” in Sanskrit, with the new offering set to launch in 2027.
Amangati will feature just 47 spacious suites, each featuring a private balcony, as well as four international dining concepts, a jazz club, an Aman Spa with Japanese garden and a beach club providing direct access to the water.
It will be powered by a suite of green technologies to provide a more sustainable way of travel, in line with Aman’s commitment to innovation and to reducing its environmental footprint.
“Naming Amangati marks a pivotal and inspiring milestone for Aman” the group’s Chairman and CEO Vlad Doronin said. “The vessel will embody the very essence of our brand’s DNA, providing exceptional privacy, best in class amenities, now synonymous with Aman, and our signature unparalleled service not yet experienced on the water.
“As construction progresses behind the scenes, our vision remains clear: to create a vessel that not only represents the highest standards of maritime engineering and design but that mirrors the tranquility of our land-based sanctuaries.”
Following its launch during the 2027 summer season, Amangati will sail the Mediterranean on a range of carefully curated itineraries. It will also be available for private charter.
Originally slated to debut in 2025, the vessel has been known, until now, as “Project Sama” which means tranquility in Sanskirt.
A joint venture between Aman and Cruise Saudi, Amangati has been designed in partnership with SINOT Yacht Architecture & Design, with Aman directing the entire development process of the project – from design and build to operations and management – ensuring that guests enjoy the Aman way of life onboard.
Construction is now underway by T.Mariotti S.p.A in Genoa, Italy.
