Already known for its Destination Immersion and Extended Destination Days offerings, Azamara Cruises plans to take its guests even deeper into the places it visits in 2025-2026 with the launch of Destination Immersion Elevated.
The new initiative will deliver a “more enriching journey”, according to the small ship cruise line, with more time in port and new programs to enhance travellers’ experiences.
Specialty voyages will triple in number from six to 22, including three solar eclipse cruises in 2026. In addition, Azamara will offer 33 country-intensive voyages and introduce 25 new ports, with 51% of time in port being late nights or overnights.
“Azamara Cruises is the pioneer cruise line in destination immersion, and we take great pride in being the industry leader,” Azamara CEO Dondra Ritzenthaler said upon the launch. “Destination Immersion Elevated has been designed to deepen our guests’ connection to the places we visit.”
New onboard features of the new initiative will include Destination Events, where the pool deck transforms into an alfresco dining venue, featuring regional dishes and local entertainment. The Daily Destination Entrées program will offer more than 150 new locally inspired dishes across the main dining venues. Guests can also enjoy Stories Under the Stars, where local folklore comes to life around a cosy fire-pit.
Azamara is also enhancing its shore excursions program with more than 13,500 Elevated Excursions for 2025-2026, including exclusive overnight tours and the new Curator’s Collection, offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences curated by locals.
