With just months to go until Luminara’s debut, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has confirmed the 226-suite vessel will return to Asia in October 2026, with bookings now open for the four new itineraries.
At 18 days in duration, the vessel’s crossing back to Tokyo from Vancouver in September next year represents the company’s longest voyage yet. It will be followed up with three Tokyo roundtrips in October which will follow the same itinerary that Luminara will sail in March and May next year during its first Asia season.
“We’re delighted to confirm that Luminara will be returning to Asia in October 2026, following her inaugural season in Alaska,” Vice President and General Manager Asia Pacific Seb Seward said.
“We are seeing strong demand for our initial Asian season, especially those itineraries including Japan, and are excited to release these teaser voyages ahead of our full season release next month.
“Luminara is almost ready for launch, and we’re confident that she will set the new benchmark for luxury in Asian and Alaskan waters.”
The new itineraries include: the 18-night Vancouver to Tokyo via Ketchikan, Sitka, Seward, Dutch Harbor and Aomori departing 21 September 2026, priced from US$12,300; the 10–night Tokyo roundtrip via Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Busan, Nagasaki and Kagoshima, departing 9 October 2026, 19 October 2026 and 29 October 2026 priced from US$15,600, US$15,600 and US$13,100 respectively.
Seward explained the cruise line will release full details of this Asia season next month. It will also announce a new voyage season, which he confirmed would not feature Australia.
The third vessel in the RCYC fleet, Luminara will set sail on the Mediterranean in July this year.
