Paspaley Pearl has been handed over to Pearl Expeditions‘ Executive Chair Sarina Bratton in Singapore, with the vessel now making its way to its new home in Darwin, Australia. In Singapore for the handover, Bratton took a moment to reflect on the milestone, calling it “a very special ship handover with many highs and thankfully few lows”. “It is so uplifting when you meet like-minded professionals whose company you enjoy and know that the start of a friendship has commenced,” she said. “Annie Chua, Group CEO of ICF International, has developed a highly successful Singapore headquartered turnkey interior solutions group for the maritime industry. They have worked closely with the Paspaley team in bringing our Paspaley Pearl to the high standard we feel our guests will appreciate when exploring the very remote areas of Australia and our close neighbours.” Bratton said the onboard delivery team was excited to get the vessel to Australia where it will arrive on 22 May before welcoming its first guests aboard on 31 July for its first Kimberley expedition departing Wyndham.

The motor yacht’s inaugural 70-day expedition season through to early October has been in “strong demand”, currently with spaces still available on only four voyages across 37 days. The “in-depth” season of Kimberley experiences will be enhanced by the opportunity to learn, engage and experience first-hand why Paspaley produces “the most beautiful pearls in the world”. Bespoke experiences planned for Paspaley Pearl’s maximum 30 guests have been carefully selected by four expedition naturalists who will personally guide guests along the stretch of remote coastline. The program also includes a special opportunity to visit a working Paspaley pearl farm operation, as well as lesser-known sites such as Whirlpool Pass and Ruby Falls – only accessible by small ship and with insider knowledge. Following these initial Kimberley expedition voyages, Paspaley Pearl will then explore the cultural and geographic diversity of Papua New Guinea, East Indonesia, Raja Ampat and Borneo.
