Cunard‘s Queen Elizabeth will return to the Mediterranean in May 2027, offering an extensive 22-week season that will feature 65 new voyages. Itineraries range from seven to 28 nights, with departures from key ports including Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome), Trieste and Istanbul. The program includes maiden calls to the elegant Italian city of Trieste and Calvi, a picturesque town on the Corsican coast of France. In addition, Queen Elizabeth will revisit 22 ports that haven’t featured on itineraries in the last 15 years. Other destinations range from the beaches of Ibiza, Valletta’s medieval architecture, to Ajaccio, Napoleon’s island home, and scenic cruising through the Messina Strait. A particular highlight is an overnight call in Istanbul, offering guests a chance to witness the city’s famous landmarks like the hagia Sophia illuminated by moonlight. “This new programme is all about giving our guests more choice and more unforgettable voyages,” Cunard President Katie McAlister said. “The Mediterranean region and Queen Elizabeth are extremely popular with our Australian and Kiwi guests and we’re proud to offer this very special combination as part of our upcoming season.”
