For the first time in its 110+ year history, the Tour de France will commence its journey in the vibrant heart of Catalonia: Barcelona, in 2026. To honour this historic moment, Mummu Cycling, Australia’s Official Tour de France Tour Operator, has collaborated with Frank Camorra, founder of Melbourne’s MoVida, to curate a week of unforgettable moments both behind the barriers and around the city.
Limited to just 28 guests, Barcelona Grand Départ 2026 offers something no one else can: Mummu Cycling’s signature private access to team zones and inner race moments, paired with Camorra’s deeply personal curation of food, wine, and culture.
“The 2026 Grand Départ isn’t just another start line; it’s a historic moment where the world’s greatest race meets one of the world’s most vibrant cities,” shares Marcel Berger, Founder of Mummu Cycling. “Through our collaboration with Frank, we’re able to open doors into his Barcelona to showcase the flavours, the stories and the soul of a city electrified by the race.”
Camorra adds that his focus is on providing an experience that goes beyond the surface:
“Anyone can find a famous restaurant in Barcelona. I want to share my Barcelona—the one I grew up with.
“This is about connecting guests with the small producers, the century-old recipes, and the hidden gems that you won’t find in a guidebook.”
Over five nights, the tour immerses guests in the race’s most pivotal moments, from the Team Presentation and Time Trial to the Grand Départ itself. A highlight of the tour is the immersion within the race and opportunity to ride on the course through closed roads with a police escort for all three Barcelona stages. The experience is a seamless blend of insider access and curated culture where guests will dine in a 15th-century farmhouse one evening, and wake the next morning with official team credentials—a privilege typically reserved for sponsors.
Backed by a team of pro-cyclists, Mummu Cycling knows what makes a cycling experience truly memorable. “We wanted to recreate the unforgettable moments that we’ve experienced at Grand Departs over the years – This isn’t luxury for luxury’s sake, it’s authenticity you can taste, crafted for people who love this sport like we do,” Stuart O’Grady, Paris-Roubaix winner and Co-Owner of Mummu shares.
Tour highlights:
Race Access: Insider viewing of all three Barcelona stages, including team presentations and ride-outs on the course.
Curated Dining: Two multi-course dinners personally curated by Frank Camorra, hosted in unique and historic Catalan venues.
Bespoke Upgrades: Options for deeper immersion include “Frank’s Table,” a private tasting menu, and “Heli Day,” a VIP experience including a helicopter flight over the race, hosted by a former pro cyclist.
The six-day Barcelona Grand Depart 2026 is priced from AU$9,995 per person twin share.
