Australian hotel group TFE Hotels is set to make its debut in the UK. with the launch of two Adina-branded apartment-hotels: The Hobson Cambridge by Adina and The Wellington Glasgow by Adina. Both properties are expected to open in Q3 this year.
TFE Hotels’ chief executive officer, Antony Ritch, said this expansion marked a “significant milestone” in the hotel group’s global growth trajectory. Alongside the new openings, TFE Hotels has also established a UK Country Office, which is being led by Asli Kutlucan, CEO Europe.
TFE Hotels touts itself as “an early pioneer” in the “premium apartment hotels” space, first expanding into Europe 20 years ago with the launch of Adina. The group currently operates apartment-hotels across Germany, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Hungary, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. With its debut in England and Scotland, TFE Hotels says it is now better able to serve long-haul travellers from Asia-Pacific and North America, as well as intra-European guests.
About the Properties
The 56-key Hobson Cambridge by Adina, housed in a former police station, blends historic architecture with contemporary design. A standout feature will be its signature bar and restaurant in the glass-roofed courtyard. The menu will be tailored to the city’s local, academic and cultural clientele.
Meanwhile, The Wellington Glasgow by Adina, located just off George Square, offers 98 vibrant studio apartments. The hotel will additionally offer easy access to the city’s business, entertainment and nightlife precincts.
