For the very first time, McLaren Automotive is inviting owners from around the globe to visit the birthplace of Bruce McLaren and spiritual home of the brand, for a unique drive programme – Epic New Zealand 2016.
The impressive nine-day programme commences in Auckland on Saturday 26 November 2016 and tours all corners of the country before concluding in Queenstown on Sunday 4 December. Guests are invited to drive their McLaren or one of the McLaren fleet cars, on some of the most panoramic roads in the world, while indulging in award-winning food and wine.
Throughout the extensive tour, guests will truly experience the dynamic handling of McLaren sports cars and super cars in a variety of conditions, from sweeping roads to thrilling straights.
George Biggs, Regional Director, McLaren Automotive, Asia Pacific, stated that an impressive 30 McLaren supercars are expected to take part.

Programme highlights include:
- Visit the new Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park, nestled beside the vast volcanic backdrop of Lake Taupo.
- Drive through world-famous vineyards and art deco architecture on the route to dinner in the acclaimed Te Papa Museum in Wellington.
- Travel across the Cook Strait via ferry to the grand landscapes of the South Island, where Marlborough’s best wines can be savoured.
- Retreat for an evening of relaxation at The Braemer Lodge & Spa in Hanmer Springs, surrounded by lush, towering forests.
- Fly to Minaret Station via helicopter for a fine three-course dinner matched with Otago wine, on one of New Zealand’s most spectacular glaciers.
- Visit the South Island’s leading circuit, Highlands Motorsport Park, for an afternoon of thrilling driving with qualified instructors, before winding down in stunning Queenstown by the crystal clear shores of Lake Wakatipu.
- Enjoy adrenaline-fuelling activities in the world’s action sport capital, from a bungy jump to jet boating and white water rafting.
