On 5 May this year, the Maldives Travel Awards 2015 were hosted at Dusit Thani Dubai. The event features a total of 33 categories, with winners announced in ten selected categories. The special edition of the Travel Awards in Dubai was scheduled coinciding with the Arabian Travel Market 2015, in collaboration with Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Cooperation, MMPRC.

Launched in 2012, this year marks the fourth edition of the travel awards, and also marks a milestone, as the awards is hosted abroad for the first time. During the past four years, Maldives Travel Awards has grown successfully grown in popularity and in number of categories and nominations. This year, more than 110 nominees competed. Guest houses, Hotels, Resorts, Airlines and service providers like dive schools are represented in the Travel Awards.
