This week, Halekulani Okinawa – Halekulani’s second hotel – opened for reservations for guests arriving from 26 July 2019. Located in Onna Village on the main island of Okinawa, the destination is home to some of Japan’s most beautiful beaches. The resort faces approximately 1.7 kilometres of coastline and features 360 rooms, each with a picturesque ocean view. There are five villas, which have their own private pools and natural hot-spring bath. Among Asia’s most acclaimed chefs, Kawate is the owner and chef at Florilège in Tokyo, whose two Michelin stars and No. 3 place on the ‘Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2018’ list attract food lovers from across the globe. Halekulani Okinawa – Restaurant Shiroux Other restaurants include Aomi, which serves Japanese cuisine using fresh ingredients from the Okinawa region; the à la carte Kingdom Steak & Wine, which dishes up select meats from Japan and afar; all-day dining venue House Without a Key, which adopts its name from Halekulani Hawaii; and Bar Spectra.
