Shangri-La announced the opening of a new hotel on 28 August 2015 in Tangshan, China. The hotel is located in the Phoenix New Town, a new eco-oriented urban area adjacent to the new financial and commercial hub and adjoins a shopping mall and landscaped park. The hotel is in close proximity to Tangshan’s UNESCO-listed Eastern Qing Tombs, 10 minutes by car to the Tangshan Railway Station and 30 minutes from the Tangshan Sannühe Airport.
Each of the 301 rooms and suites include classic decor, free high-speed Wi-Fi, a large workspace and views over the park and new city centre. The hotel is also home to the Horizon Club lounge, offering special benefits for Club floor guests along with complimentary breakfast buffet, all-day refreshments, meeting facilities and personalised concierge service.
The recreational facilities in the hotel include a Health Club with a 24-hour gym, yoga and aerobics studio, an indoor temperature-controlled swimming pool and kids’ pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms. The Shangri-La Ballroom offers a space for events of all types and includes the latest audio-visual equipment, an opulent interior and 1800sqm.
To commemorate the hotel’s launch, special rates are available at RMB 588 for single occupancy and RMB 688 for twin sharing until year end. The rates include breakfast, 20% discount on laundry and dry-cleaning and late check-out at 4pm.
