Nobu Hospitality has revealed a continued global expansion of the lifestyle brand, announcing it will open its first hotel in Africa next year. The Pearl Marrakech in the Morrocan city’s Hivernage district will be converted into Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Marrakesh, earmarked to open in 3Q 2021
Steps from the historic heart of the city, souks and vibrant Djemaa el-Fna, Nobu Hotel Marrakech will become a luxury lifestyle destination. The hotel will house 71 guest rooms and suites, a selection of dynamic dining venues and rooftop spaces, a luxurious spa and fitness centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and more.King Mohammed VI’s ‘Tourism Development Strategy Vision 2020’ plan has been the driving force at encouraging foreign investment in Morocco’s tourism sector. His Majesty has outlined the vision and Nobu is pleased to be entering the market at this exciting time, the company said.
“Marrakech as a destination fits seamlessly within the Nobu Hotel collection and we expect it will be embraced by locals and the strong base of European and US Nobu customers,” said Ahmed Bennani, President of Hivernage Collection, which is partnering with Nobu Hospitality on the project.
