Conrad Hotels & Resorts has officially opened its first resort property in Mexico; the 324-room Conrad Punta de Mita, located in Riviera Nayarit. Conrad Punta de Mita was created as a portal into the landscape, history and rich multi-cultural identity of the region. Accentuated by lush tropical vegetation, open corridors and contemporary coastal décor, the resort’s nature-centric aesthetic enhances wellness and reflects a core belief of the Huichol: that transformation and personal development occur through connection to nature.
Part of the upscale Litibu gated community, guests can experience opportunities that meet today’s trends: open, uncrowded spaces and access to nature. To ensure less crowding, the resort opens with a selection of its guestrooms and suites available, offering a full-service resort experience with the volume of a boutique hotel. For those seeking an even greater sense of seclusion and exclusivity, and especially ideal for those travelling in small groups, villa-like ‘Casas’ house a combination of guest rooms and suites, some featuring large patios, plunge pools, freestanding soaking tubs and outdoor showers. The resort features three expansive pools, a long stretch of sandy beach, and guests have access to the Litibu Golf Course, outdoor fitness lawn for yoga and stretching and experiential visits to a local fish market to witness the local lifestyle. The Conrad SPA has seven cocoon treatment cabanas nestled among the vegetation, and offer the first-ever traditional Temazcal in a Hilton property. There are four restaurants and three bar concepts onsite that offer menus and experiences that pay tribute to age-old techniques and flavours of the local culture.
Conrad’s first branded property in Mexico is the city-based Conrad San Luis Potosi which opened in 2017. For more information, see conradpuntademita.com/ All images supplied
