The Oberoi proves its culinary prowess

The Oberoi, Bali, on the fashionable Seminyak beachfront, offers a choice of dining venues serving culinary diversity from traditional Indonesian to modern cuisine. Kura Kura Restaurant Diners can relish in Continental, Indonesian and Asian cuisines, accompanied by fine wines from around the world. Executive Chef Enrico Wahl has created a tasting menu starting at three courses, or for a completely indulgent experience there is a nine course option featuring Tuna and Iberico Jamon Tartar and Tian of Fresh and Smoked Seafood among other dishes including a surprise by the chef. The Timbungan is one of the Indonesian delights on the menu, with chef selected mixed seafood in Balinese spices, charcoal cooked and served in bamboo. Frangipani Café Tucked under a canopy of frangipani trees, this seaside garden café has a focus on fresh produce and house made treats from freshly baked pastries and home-made jams, to in-house smoked salmon. Kayu Bar During the afternoon, Kayu Bar it is the most picturesque spot for enjoying the Balinese sunset. With a comprehensive list of premium spirits to choose from, guests can sit back with a cocktail, something classic or one of Bali’s favourites and take in the view. For a light meal or snack a pizza can be shared between two, an organic mixed leaf salad or something from the wok like the Bakmi Goreng Istimewa. Live music is never far away with views of the amphitheatre. Amphitheatre Balinese theatre and cultural dance unfold at the natural stone outdoor amphitheatre, where hotel guests and the public can come together and enjoy the show. Featuring seating for al fresco dining, guests can enjoy fine cuisine under the stars set with a backdrop of Balinese entertainment and underscored by the cultural heritage of the location.
